Joining Shaklee years ago had opened the doors for me to attend conferences, seminars, lectures, and other types of events where interesting information about the science of nutrition is usually freely shared by nutrition industry professionals. At one such event, I've purchase a couple of booklets published by Nedra H. Sahr, M.S., C.N.S., Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist for the Team-15. Here is how she explains the Shaklee difference:
- SHAKLEE is an established leader in the nutritional industry with decades of science and research. Shaklee has invested over $150 million in research and development to achieve product superiority.
- Shaklee products are developed in response to established need not to market trends or popularity. Shaklee is the only nutrition company that has not sold one of the "dirty dozen" ingredients listed by Consumer Reports, May 2004.
- Independent clinical studies on products before they come to market are conducted by researchers at leading universities including Stanford University, University of California, Brigham Young University, University of Texas, and others.
- Every batch of ingredients is tested for purity and efficacy before, during, and after formulation. These testing procedures are unique to Shaklee. Every raw ingredient is tested for 400 pesticides. Every ingredient listed on the label is in the product in the amount specified.
- Shaklee makes no wild claims. Clinical documentation for every statement Shaklee makes is kept on file for the FDA.
